Soy lecithin-
Soy lecithin- Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid
Ingredients: There are three types of phospholipids; phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphotidylinositol (PI). Lecithin is extracted from soybean oil. It derives from a sludge left after crude soy oil goes through water refining process. Soybean lecithin is a waste product that has solvents (liquids used to dissolve other substances) and pesticides (is a substance or mixture of substances used for preventing, controlling, or lessening the damage caused by a pest). It is used in food processing as an emulsifier.
Foods: Salad dressing, processed cheese, and chocolate, all contain lecithin. It is also used as protective coverings. For example, lecithin is the emulsilfier that keeps cocoa and cocoa butter in a candy bar from separating. Studies proven that soy-derived lecithin has remarkable effects on lowering cholesterol and raising HDL the good cholesterol.
A fatty substance made from choline that the body needs to make the walls of the cells.
